Our Halloween celebration took a spooky twist with the Haunted Hallway, where eerie sights, spooky sounds, and spine-tingling surprises awaited those brave enough to walk through! 🎃 From clever costumes to ghoulish decor, it was a thrilling experience for all who ventured inside.

Milwaukee Public Zoo

​Our recent adventure to the Milwaukee Zoo was a huge hit! Participants had a fantastic time exploring the diverse animal exhibits and enjoying the beautiful outdoor setting. From watching playful animals to discovering new species, the visit was both educational and entertaining. It was a wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter, and memorable experiences. We’re thrilled to have shared this enriching outing with our community and look forward to more exciting adventures together!

Community Volunteering 

​At Portal, we dedicate several hours each week to supporting our community partners.   The images here are from both Lasta Senior Center and Blue Lotus Center. These visits are greatly enjoyed,  getting out into the community and contributing to these wonderful organizations. Our time spent there not only helps us engage with the greater community but also enriches the lives of those we support and serve. It’s all part of our commitment to fostering meaningful connections and making a positive impact.

911 - Exploring 

​On September 11th, our Portal Adult Day Services group had a meaningful visit to the Veterans Memorial Park in Port Washington. The trip provided a profound opportunity to honor and reflect on the sacrifices made by our veterans. Participants enjoyed a thoughtful and serene afternoon, exploring the memorial and learning about its significance. It was a day of appreciation and remembrance, bringing our community closer as we pay tribute to those who have served.

​Our recent afternoon at the Milwaukee Public Museum with Portal Adult Day Services was a fantastic experience! Participants enjoyed exploring the museum’s captivating exhibits and engaging with interactive displays. From learning about diverse cultures to marveling at historical artifacts, the trip provided both educational enrichment and fun. It was a wonderful opportunity for connection and discovery, and everyone left with smiles and memorable moments. Day Trip to Blue Lotus Center 

​Absolutely incredible time at Blue Lotus Center! 🌞 The weather was perfect, and we had a blast! Huge thanks to Blue Lotus for an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed paddle boats, fishing, relaxing by the campfire, and hiking through the beautiful trails. Can't wait to come back!

Drum Circle Day! 

​Drum Circle Day was a fantastic experience for everyone involved! Participants and staff gathered together to enjoy the rhythmic beats and vibrant energy of the drum circle.
We not only had great fun but also learned about the importance of rhythm, teamwork, and communication.

Mini Pizza making Day!  

​We had a wonderful time during our mini pizza-making day at the Portal! Participants in our adult day services came together to create delicious personal pizzas, enjoying the hands-on activity and the delightful aromas filling the kitchen. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to express their creativity and culinary skills. The smiles and laughter throughout the day made it a truly memorable experience for all. Feed My Starving Children 

Making a Difference Together!  We're thrilled to share the incredible partnership between Portal Inc. and Feed My Starving Children! The Portal inc. facility recently opened its doors to FMSC volunteers, who utilized our space to pack life-saving meals for those in need.
It was heartwarming to witness our amazing participants, dedicated staff and volunteers come together to support this meaningful cause. Their enthusiasm and hard work made a significant impact, contributing to FMSC's mission of ending hunger worldwide.
A huge shoutout to everyone involved for their generosity and compassion. Together, we're making a difference one meal at a time!
