Adult Life Transitions (High School Students)
Preparing for adult life through Community Connections and Employment Preparedness
Thank you Lasata Heights Retirement Center for awarding the Portal, inc Adult Life Transition Program participants the Volunteer of the Year award! We enjoy volunteering monthly - sorting and delivering donations for Mr Bob's Under the Bridge. Thank you for the wonderful acknowledgement, certificate and gift basket. |
Portal assists transitioning students and their families to begin thinking about life after high school, to identify their desired outcomes and to start planning their community experiences and involvement. By starting this process early, students acquire the knowledge and skills to achieve their goals. Our transition process empowers students to move successfully from school to employment, independent living and community participation based on the student's interests, preferences and abilities. Employment opportunities are available after school and during the summer.
Thank you United Way of Northern Ozaukee for financial support of the Adult Life Transitions program.
